The purposes of system requirements are to:
Come to an agreement with the customer and the users
on what the new enterprise application system should do.
Give developers a better understanding of the
requirements on the system.
Define the functionality of the system.
Provide the basis for planning the technical contents
of iterations.
The system requirements artifacts consist of:
System Vision Document - A general vision of
the core project's requirements, and provides the contractual basis for
the more detailed technical requirements.
System Use Case Model – A set of diagrams and
text documents that describes the system's intended external functions
and its environment, that serves as a precise agreement between the
customer and the developers.
