NCPTS is a collaborative program where
participating counties collectively set the vision, determine the best
practices, and share the cost of the NCPTS software. The
NCPTS software is owned by the North Carolina Association of County
Commissioners (NCACC) and is provided without licensing fee to the
counties of North Carolina.
Counties using the NCPTS software and
participating in the program include:
Wake County (1999)
Wayne County (2002)
Henderson County (2003)
Catawba County (2004)
Harnett County (2004)
Pitt County (2006)
Mecklenburg County (2008)
Randolph County (2009)
Guilford County (2009)
Orange County (future) NCPTS is administered by the NCPTS
Steering Committee which consists of one
member from each of the participating counties, one member from the
NCACC, and one member from the
North Carolina Association of Assessing Officers (NCAAO), the North Carolina Tax Collectors' Association (NCTCO), and the North Carolina Local Government Information Systems Association
(NCLGISA).
NCPTS product enhancement, implementation,
and support services are provided by the program’s preferred vendor,
IIS, for a fee. NCACC actively manages the preferred vendor’s
relationship and services results.
